6 people on a two-week holiday in a caravan – what could possibly go wrong? A taste of paradise, or the holiday from hell? When 5 friends, struggling to come to terms with getting older, decide to go on holiday together and then one decides to bring along their new girlfriend, the scene is set for tests of friendship, marital intrigue, and most of all, laughs! Parkes is extremely proud of his caravan. Every year he takes his family to the same caravan park, parks it in the same spot and spends two idyllic weeks in his perception of holiday luxury. His wife, Penny willingly joins him, although she is much less enthusiastic about it as the years go by. This year, by way of a change, the kids have been left behind, and three lifelong friends have been invited, so they too may enjoy the comfort and privilege of staying in Parkes’ caravan, experiencing the sun and sand, fun filled days and relaxing evenings of wine and conversation. 5 people in a cramped caravan… can you see where this is headed? Long-time friends Rodney and Monica arrive, and the discomfort of the cramped quarters begins to emerge. Monica likes her creature comforts and doesn’t hold back with the criticism and whingeing, much to the annoyance of her long-suffering husband. Last to arrive is Pierce, with his latest girlfriend, Gwendolyn, unexpectedly in tow. In keeping with Pierce’s burgeoning middle-age crisis, there is a considerable age difference here. The four other friends are not happy welcoming his latest squeeze, who he’s only known for a week. This leads to some tricky sleeping arrangements, a few indiscretions and inappropriate behaviour and building tensions between the friends. And then… it starts raining!
